In a unique initiative of its kind, Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) produced two-dimensional and three- dimensional educational videos, in several areas of public administration, including mind map, customer service and change resistance. This initiative came in implementation of the recommendations of the last meeting of the directors of public administration institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council, which was held in Doha during the month of June 2015, and within the Gulf plan to introduce electronic training materials for public employees in the Gulf Cooperation Council. This confirmed the significant role played by BIPA to incorporate the most advanced curriculums and practices in the training programs at the GCC level, a matter which stressed the Institute's role in being a reference to the GCC countries in the field of e-learning. Bahrain has participated in the twenty-fifth meeting of the Distant Training Committee of public administration institutes in the GCC, which was held at the General Secretariat of the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during the period from 28 to 29 December 2015. During the meeting, BIPA was commissioned in partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide a guide for the administrative organizational structure, which included deciding the authority which would follow up on implementation of distant training programs, and human resources required. The move is the basis towards implementation of distant training programs at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In connection with imparting expertise and scientific knowledge in the field of e-learning to the public administration institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council, BIPA has completed three educational videos using two-and three dimensional technology on mind map, customer service, and change resistance. The GCC attendees praised the significant efforts undertaken by GCC countries and in particular Bahrain in the preparation and implementation of these educational videos, noting the role of Institute of Public Administration in the development of e-learning, especially since the institute is currently developing other educational videos, a total of 8 videos so far which will be employed and used in all Gulf training institutes. During the meeting, the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council was tasked to schedule electronic lectures in the field of public administration to broadcast to all GCC countries. Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will provide technical support to technically host these Gulf lectures.
