The Institute of Public Administration “BIPA” announced the winner project of BIPA’s award for the best graduation project in the preparation diploma program for government sector for (attendance registration in public schools by a modern way) project, which was prepared by a group of trainees namely; Ali Mohamed Muraysi from the Ministry of Education, Yusuf Ahmed Al-Sindi and Yusuf Ahmed Rashid from the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) and Fahad Musleh Al-Anzi from the Electricity and Water Authority.
This came during a graduation ceremony of trainees at BIPA, which was held yesterday, and that 150 trainees were graduated, who have completed successfully the preparation diploma for government sector. During the ceremony, the winner project was reviewed, which presented to develop the current methods of recording attendance for students with the aim of seeking to save time and effort for teachers, school administration and registration specialists. The project also seeks to make the most of e-learning to take advantage and ensure the quality of education through keeping up with the development of education and modern techniques used in the educational process, to contribute to the optimization of the class time and strive to achieve the highest degree of discipline in the classroom in a flexible, easy and speedy way.
On this occasion, Senior Director of Basic Development and Creative Learning at BIPA Mohamed Al-Sabaa stressed that the Institute seeks through the inclusion of graduation projects within the preparation diploma for government sector to encourage government employees to contribute to the development of work mechanisms followed by government agencies and prepare employees to refine their abilities to be able to develop and innovate, adding that linking administration practices in the public sector with the training programs offered by the institute is for preparing the new cadres which is a step to modify some of the practices with healthier practices, noting that the promising projects stand firm in the face of various challenges such as resources scarcity in some ministries.
Mr. Al-Sabaa indicated that the award aims to deepen the culture of scientific research and how to take advantage of it in the work environment, and consolidate the quality and creativity standards in the area of government development, disseminate best submitted projects that agree with the criteria adopted by the Institute, and create a competitive environment that shove performance to high levels of quality, creativity and excellence, and increase the effectiveness of trainees’ participation and encourage them to excel in production in the government creativeness, and provide scientific basis consisting of the best proposals and projects prepared by the trainees and contribute in applying them in the real work environment.
In addition to that, 4 other projects were qualified to compete on the award, where the first project was entitled (healthy food in public schools) which seeks to change the meals in canteens to healthy foods and correct improper eating habits, as well as working on educating parents and students in schools with the basic rules of proper nutrition. The second project (e-recruitment system) that concerned with linking modern technologies in recruitment process in order to raise the management and the efficiency of human resources in public sector, and sought to adhere to the fundamental principles mentioned in the Economic Vision 2030 namely: sustainability and justice through providing everybody equal opportunities in getting the right to education, employment and health care.
The third project was entitled (school bag), which aims to study the problem of school bags weight in order to reduce the load on the student for carrying heavy weights of books and consequent health problems, and the project developed appropriate solutions to eliminate this problem. Finally, the fourth project was about (electronic link – Alrasid), which seeks to create a link that falls within the scope of e-government, included within the observed suggestions and complaints by citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It is worth mentioning that BIPA’s award for best graduation project from the preparation diploma program for government sector seeks to foster a spirit of innovation and excellence in government development to achieve the deepening of excellence, creativity and quality concepts in government work environment that are based on employing the available tools and resources and communication to improve the quality of government services through the adoption of standards and honoring the outstanding individuals.
