Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) Dr. Raed bin Shams met with the Chief Executive (CEO) of the British Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Mr. Peter Chase to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two sides in the areas of training, consultation and human development.
During the meeting, Mr. Chase reviewed the British Institute’s experience in enriching the public administration sector through the programs offered by the institute for more than 130 thousand certified members, in addition to the partnership agreements that link the British Institute with more than 100 training and consulting organizations from around the world, and the most prominent of them are the World Federation of People Management Association (WFPMA), the European Association for People Management (EAPM) and the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO).
Director General of BIPA praised the efforts of the British Institute, pointing out to its deep-rooted experience in areas of training and development, as one of the biggest accredited training institutes in the world, noting the large expertise of the CEO Mr. Peter Chase as one of the most prominent administration thinkers in the world. Bin Shams stressed that BIPA will take advantage from the experience of the British Chartered Institute to design a range of training programs that keep pace with the latest urgent developments in the areas of training and human development, adding that BIPA is keen to benefit from the successful international experiences to enrich Bahrain’s experience in the preparation of leaders and develop government competencies and cadres to be able to manage their tasks in a professional way, after cultivating their skills in leadership and management.
For their part, the British Institute delegation praised the great development of BIPA in the fields of government training, stressing that Bahrain has pursued a civilized and advanced way in the field of leaders preparation and revitalization of government cadres which is in line with the Kingdom's strategy to occupy a prominent position among the developed countries, expressing full readiness to enrich the training programs offered by the institute and develop all matters that would improve training sector in Bahrain.
