Stemming from the social responsibility and promoting the concepts of partnership with different sectors, to build and develop the society and protect the successes and achievements attained under the reform project of His Majesty, the Institute of Public Administration “BIPA” participated in the summer camp of the Royal Academy of Police through its contribution and designing of “leadership stations” program, the Executive Director of Education and Development at the Institute Ishaq Ameen stated that the overall objective of the program is to develop and encourage young Bahrainis to recognize their importance and their role as a key components in the development and advancement of their society, through the use of practical and theoretical applications that form a major factor for youth development, and focusing on preparing a generation capable of leadership and responsibility.
Mr. Ameen explained that the program aims to promote the concepts of self-awareness, self-respect and self-confidence, in addition to generating a creative spirit and providing young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a leader, and develop youth commitment and ability to set goals and develop their leadership capacities, as well as preparing and revitalizing of youth leadership through providing them with training on the concepts of core leadership, referring to achieving one objective of the camp, which is motivating participants to prepare for the future, seize opportunities and face challenges that might be encountered by leaders.
Mr. Ameen revealed about the three units which have been covered in the “leadership stations” program, namely: “team effective leader”, “communicative leader” and “creative leader”. In regard to the detailed objectives for each station, he added that “team effective leader” is targeting the ability to identify personal goals, objectives of the team's vision and learning the importance of leadership teamwork for the development of society, as well as understanding the qualities of a young leader and how to manage a team, and concerning the “communicative leader” station, it aims to develop self-communication skills with others, and to identify the impediments of communication that leaders could face, as well as to identify the most important strategies of compatibility and harmony with others, with respect to “creative leader” station, he added that it is targeting to identify the concept of exploiting the potential energy of the youth, and acquire creative skills in solving problems, and identifying the concept of youth creative leadership.
It is noteworthy that the summer camp of the Royal Academy of Police was held for the sixth consecutive year, and this year BIPA introduced leadership stations program as a distinct contribution in the summer camp, in order to promote a sense of loyalty and belonging to the homeland among young people, in addition to develop their mental, physical, psychological capabilities and directing their energies toward achieving benefits and welfare for themselves and their community, finally excellent impressions from the participants in the program, presented by the Institute, have been monitored.
