The Senior Director of Basic Development and Creative Learning at the Institute of Public Administration “BIPA” Mohammed Al-Saba’a revealed that the number of people registered in the six e-training courses – which were launched by the institute recently – has amounted to 321 trainees, since the institute began the official launching through the e-government portal last April, stressing that these courses are of massive production that developed based on a study conducted by BIPA for the training needs of public sector employees, which has been designed entirely by the Institute with local taste that suits these needs and in return they obtained international awards, not to mention that each course is equivalent to 10 training hours and that trainees get – after passing – a certificate accredited by the Institute.
Mr. Al-Saba’a elucidated that the two courses of “basics of leadership” and “communication strategies” have got the largest share of registered during last May of 2014, where they reached 41 trainees for each course, and a course entitled “conflict resolution” came in the second place, where 14 trainees have registered in it.
Mr. Al-Saba’a stressed that the Institute embraces latest techniques and means that will create an advanced training atmosphere through adoption of latest technologies and practices, in order to develop public administration and training in various State ministries and institutions, as well as contributing to the development and training of staff, where the Institute worked hard indeed to establish an integrated electronic environment, that allows training and learning opportunities for employees through e-training project, which adopts an evolving concept that depends flexibility and continuous updating.
The registration is still going on for all employees of government ministries and agencies to take advantage of the online training courses offered by the institute, by registering directly through the portal www.bahrain.bh or www.bipa.gov.bh, which allows them – in addition to reviewing their personal and job information and others – accessing to e-training services pertaining to government employees, as these services allow enrolling in the e-training courses provided in Arabic, also they allow the possibility of withdrawal from a course previously electronically registered.
