The Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams indicated the importance of Bahraini citizens development, considering it a pillar for developing government work, and stressing in this aspect the citizen is the basis of training plans and an integral part of their programs, because citizens’ development is the real return and benefit for the country. Dr. bin Shams also valued the role played by training managers and the authorized, considering them the main drive for the wheel of human development and growth, hence because of them gaps of employees' training needs are filled in the government sector.
This came in the semi-annual meeting held by BIPA for training managers and the authorized in government bodies and ministries to view the programs that will be launched during the second half of this year, in addition to the new specialized programs package added by the Institute recently to its training plan, which will contribute to the upgrading of specialists' professionalism in the administrative fields.
After delivering a speech by Dr. Raed Bin Shams, Senior Manager of Professional Development Mrs. Ghada Shana'a staged a presentation on the advanced program of the government projects management, directed to managers of projects and programs, and projects monitors, and another presentation about the fundamental program of government projects management, directed to projects team members and staff of project management offices. Mrs. Shana'a also presented customer service program in the government sector (service) and a program of excellence in the management of government services (excellence), in addition to the professional certificate program in human resources.
Then, the Executive Director for leadership development Mr. Ishaq Ameen showed a presentation about the national program for government leaders preparation, which included four programs as follows; leadership elite, leaders, cadres and formation .. where the Institute will receive the 8th batch of leadership program and the 2nd batch of cadres program in its new design, and the leadership programs characterized by relying on the Bahraini model of leadership.
Then, Senior Manager of Basic Development and Creative Learning Mr. Mohammed Al-Saba’a displayed a group of educational games designed by the Institute and the external consultation offered in the field of e-training, as well as the short courses that have been adopted according to the training needs of the government sector, also Mr. Al-Saba’a gave a brief presentation about the Preparation Diploma for the Public Sector (initialization) directed for new employees.
In another presentation, the Executive Director of Business Development Yousif Al-Bader presented a summary of the contractual courses carried out by the Institute to meet the requirements of government agencies according to their various training needs, and according to the characteristics and standards required by these agencies. From the professional partnership aspect, discussions were opened for exchange of views between training managers, the authorized, administrators of training programs, and Registration Directorate at BIPA, where various and different remarks were discussed.
It is worth mentioning that the Registration Directorate at BIPA will hold a meeting next November for training managers and the authorized to review the plan of training programs and the short courses for 2014.
