The Executive Director of Leadership Development at the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) Ishaq Ameen stated that the Institute will launch «cadres» program, after re-designed to be available for the participants during next September, emanating from BIPA's strategy to achieve its objectives to make government administrative leaderships reach the ranks of distinguished administrative cadres which is included in and aspired to by the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and the belief in its positive role in creating and developing leaders for government departments and raise their abilities level, in addition to prepare them for a career within their organizations.
Mr. Ameen added that the cadres program is aspired to develop a second row of leaders who occupy positions at the level of heads of departments (and the like) in the public sector, by improving their knowledge, capabilities and skills, and develop management and leadership skills of participants in the program, as well as providing participants with the necessary tools to self-understanding and a better perception of others in the workplace and to help them use these tools to raise the level of their work performance in order to achieve the goals of their organizations.
The program also provides opportunities for participants to expand the networks of their contacts and develop their relations in a way that improves their performance in government work in terms of productivity and quality, especially their contacts and their relationships with their colleagues in other government agencies, and thus contribute to achieving the goals set by the government within the framework of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and government action program, in addition to providing opportunities for the participants and their organizations to learn from each other's experiences through the exchange of best practices related to the common areas of concern.
On the other hand, the program contains 5 units as follows; self-leadership and development, team leadership and development, bearing responsibility in organizational development, customers and partners care, and accomplishment and achieving results, as well as the program will include tests to determine personal patterns and counseling and guidance sessions, in addition to systematic institutional visits to form a network of relationships within participants' groups and carrying out projects at the end of each unit.
It is worth mentioning that BIPA seeks to develop public administration and training in state's ministries and institutions, and contribute to the preparation and training of their employees, according to the requirements of training, development and research programs, and consultancy work to be the ideal companion for the development of civil service employees with distinction and provides value-added services for the public sector in the framework of quality assurance.
