The Director General of BIPA and his Deputy, respectively, Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams and Mr. Sufyan Sahrawi, participated in the meetings of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) held by IIAS and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) in the Belgian capital Brussels, beginning of current month of March.
As stated by the Institute, BIPA joined two Committees during the meeting; first for reviewing and following-up IASIA's achieving its mission, and the second for reviewing the organizational structure of IASIA, including its board of directors membership and work groups.
From his part, the Director General of BIPA Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams expressed pride and honor for the Bahraini dynamic participation in the meetings of the International Institute, held recently, stressing that the Institute's joining these international committees is only an evaluation of the high international status occupied by Bahrain and its significant role in supporting these active international organizations, explaining that the institute would submit a request for membership in the Executive Committee of the International Institute, and then run in 2016 for vice president position.
Dr. bin Shams added “We believe that the Institute's joining the international committees and our organization of the 29th International Congress on Public Administration will play an important role for us to join the Executive Committee of the International Institute to represent Bahrain, which would contribute to deepening our expertise in the field of preparation, rehabilitation and training of national frameworks in public administration sciences, contribute to improving the ways of performance of government work, innovation in leading government administrative works, and enrich Institute's business strategy through looking into the latest expertise, theories and international experiments in the field of public administration.”
On the other hand, IIAS's Board of Directors has approved a proposal submitted by the Bahraini delegation during the meeting to form a Middle Eastern organization concerned with matters of public administration, and the details to be discussed on the sidelines of the 29th International Congress on Public Administration, which will be hosted by the Kingdom next June, which is considered the largest scientific gathering of government administrative sciences in the world, where it will host a constellation of international consultants and experts, and national, regional and international professionals in the public administration, and will be attended by more than 600 people including ministers and heads of public service, academics and directors of government departments from different countries of the world.
Consequently, the registration opportunity is still open for all professionals, academics, researchers and those interested in public administration sciences to participate and attend the 29th International Congress on Public Administration, which will be held in the period from 1st to 6th of next month of June under the title: “Public Administration Prospects: Professionalism, Leadership, and Risks”.
