The Institute of Public Administration reached the final stage of qualifying for the UN award for public service after passing all stages of evaluation within the category of public services delivery improvements for e-training project, as this project is considered one of the pioneering projects which the Institute previously won many awards in several forums, and the most recent was the award of excellence in e-content from Brandon Hall.
The senior director of basic development and creative learning Mohammed Al-Saba'a stated that the participation of the Institute of Public Administration in global high-level award emanates from the belief in the importance of expanding knowledge, especially in light of the sheer leaps reached by the e-learning and e-training, also reaching the qualifying final stage by the e-training project is only an evidence of the quality and efficiency of the services provided by the Institute to improve the delivery of public services.
Mr. Al-Saba'a added that the e-training project came to employ modern technologies in various training programs and activities to provide a sustainable environment for education and training, as well as the programs and courses that are designed within the e-training are filled with creativity and entertainment in order to change the traditional concept of training and learning, which is envisaged as a dull environment that cause boredom .
It should be noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain represented by eGovernment Authority hosts the forum and awards distribution ceremony in the period from 24 to 27 of next June, more than 700 leaders and decision-makers from the government sector around the world are expected to participate in this ceremony as well as practitioners and representatives of regional and international organizations, and private sector representatives from about 80 countries.
It is worth mentioning that the United Nations Award for Public Service was established to encourage governments to provide services in a better form, and this annual award aims to discover innovations in the field of governance and reward outstanding performance in the field of public service, in addition to motivate employees to promote innovation and dissemination of successful practices in the field of public service.
