Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, stressed the importance of networking efforts and unifying visions between the various institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, from the public and private sectors, with regard to developing national cadres, developing their skills and administrative capabilities, as they are the main engine of progress and growth of the national economy. Her Excellency added that the Institute of Public Administration aspires, through its various strategic partnerships with the private sector, to contribute to achieving comprehensive development in the Kingdom of Bahrain by strengthening the institutional work system.
Her Excellency’s statement came during the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with Bapco Refining, a subsidiary of Bapco Energies to discuss areas of cooperation and exchange of expertise through a series of leadership programs and training services that the institute is preparing to provide.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa added that the national cadres at the Institute of Public Administration design programs that come in partnership with the private sector, based on the actual needs of the target groups in line with the institutional visions and aspirations of the provider. Her Excellency explained the key role played by the training sector in qualifying national cadres working in the public and private sectors, with the aim of building a second tier of national leaders capable of making decisions and policies in the institutional work.
H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, CEO of Bapco Refining, said that through the strategic partnership with the Institute of Public Administration, Bapco looks forward to raising the level of competitiveness in the oil and gas sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain by investing in the national cadres working in the company. He explained that this step comes as a reflection of the ambition of the Board of Directors of Bapco Refining, to develop the capabilities of the company’s employees and qualifying them to meet the current and future work requirements, as the training programs provided by the institute will be designed based on the needs of Bapco National Refining Company’s cadres, which will contribute to improving the quality of work and developing the knowledge and skills necessary to develop performance and productivity.
