His Excellency, Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the President of the Middle East and North Africa Network for Public Administration and Research (MENAPAR) and President of the International Institute for Administrative Sciences (IIAS), affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has managed to make a clear mark in leading the future of public administration in the region, as he stressed on the importance of the exchange of research and scientific expertise in the field of public administration.
He further stressed that this exchange plays a huge role in public policy making processes in the service of clients and customers from the citizens, residents, visitors as well as government establishments and the private sector, and the civil society institutions based on clear foundations and evidences aimed at developing systematic mechanisms in this field at the local, regional and global levels.
His Excellency’s statement came during the opening ceremony of the 5th Conference of the Middle East and North Africa Network for Public Administration and Research (MENPAR), held between 27th to the 30th of November, 2022, in the city of Algeria in the Peoples’ Democratic Republic of Algeria, under the theme ” (Regions, Digitization and Local Development: Integration and Future Prospects), organized and hosted by the National School for Administration in the city of Algiers, in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Excellency Dr. Bin Shams pointed out that the MENAPAR network is keen through this International conference to review the best research and scientific abstracts and administrative practices at the level of the Middle East and North Africa and to exchange expertise with the International research and Administrative community in order to benefit from them and improve cumulative experiences and applied practices and opening the door for all countries to benefit from these and adapt them to serve the citizens globally.
His Excellency, Dr. Ben Shams explained that this year’s conference was able to attract 60 scientific papers and applied practices, from 20 countries from the Middle East and North Africa, and several European countries.
He added that the Institute will work in cooperation with its partners to invest the results of scientific research, studies and the outcomes emanating from the MENAPAR conference in improving the quality of life of citizens in the Arab countries, and building prosperous societies capable of raising the aspirations of citizens and raising the quality of services provided to them.
