In accordance with the directives of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to adopt innovative Government ideas; BIPA adopts the National Electronic training Platform
His Excellency, Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, the Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration, (BIPA), affirmed that the Government Innovative Competition (FIKRA), that was outlined by the insightful national government vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has crystallized his aspirations aimed at Continuing progress on the national competitiveness ladder in providing government services.
Pointing out that His Highness’s directives aimed at adopting the innovative government ideas that resulted from the ‘Fikra’ competition, will contribute to making the government work environment a renewable institutional work environment capable of keeping pace with the aspirations of citizens.
His statement came during the virtual meeting organized by the Institute to announce the adoption of the idea of the National Electronic training platform presented by Hashim Baqir Al-Alawi of the Shura Council.
Dr. Bin Shams indicated that the national electronic training platform is a promising government initiative in line with future aspirations regarding the employment of technology to enhance the level of government services, by raising the efficiency of national cadres and their scientific and practical qualifications.
Adding that the electronic training platform would meet all the training needs of government sector employees, by providing sufficient training hours that cover scientific materials with the help of experts and specialists from the institute’s partners, and providing the employee with training courses and programs that are in line with his job level, and the skills he needs to acquire. This platform will be linked to the online application of the Institute of Public Administration, which is dedicated to following up on programs and training courses for public sector employees. This platform will also directly feed into the Institute’s efforts to automate services and training processes to make it accessible to all government employees.
Dr. Bin Shams explained, that the institute has taken a clear administrative approach for years to keep pace with technological development to improve the level and efficiency of the educational and training services provided, by developing a clear strategy for converting a number of educational and training services into electronic services, and creating new electronic channels for the transfer of knowledge and science, in addition to BIPA’s electronic platform, through which the institute provides various electronic services to various public sector employees, such as electronic courses, educational film materials, electronic lectures, in addition to educational games.
