Dr. Raed Mohamed Bin Shams, Director-General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), stated that the Institute works to develop administrative tools system and training programmes within the continued efforts to reinforce the development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He added that the Institute has introduced a new initiative, A Database of partner consultants, which will provide a variety of consulting resources to expand and improve the service package offered by the Institute for different official authorities.
Dr. Bin Shams said the Institute of Public Administration aspires to become a destination for a range of administrative services in the Kingdom by building a rich base of talents, capabilities and excellence in this field. He stipulated that a database of consultant partners at the Institute will cater to the requirements of the present phase and also future needs of the overall development plans to be implement in Bahrain. He added that this initiative is in line with the Institute’s strategy to improve government performance through the adoption of innovative initiatives and strengthening the leadership of Bahrain in the administrative area locally, regionally and internationally.
Bin Shams added that the numerous government agencies in the Kingdom would be able to take advantage of consultancy services available in the database. Whereby, where they will be able to access scientific expertise and knowledge of different consultants to improve administrative outputs of the Institute, adding that resources of the database will provide a wealth of important scientific experience and knowledge that will serve to enrich and support and development of administrative work in various sectors of government work.
Dr. Bin Shams noted that the experts working in Consultation services for the Institute of Public Administration would be able to provide their services in the fields of science and management practices, which it considers vital in the development of government work system. Such services will include change management; performance management; and capacity building in learning and development; strategic and operational planning; and identify training needs and many other needs. He explained that the addition of consultants in the database would enable the relevant departments in the Institute to provide administrative services to the benefit of other institutions depending on their needs.
