His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams, Director General of the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) and President of the Middle East and North Africa Public Administration Research (MENAPAR) underscored the importance of awareness of administrative research as a mechanism that drives sustainable development processes at all local, regional and global levels, particularly in the light of the Arab region’s rich heritage of sciences and a powerful base of researchers who are capable of setting up a map with a clear vision on scientific and systematic foundations, while urging the audience to revisit our authentic values as the basis for building modern management sciences.
During the opening ceremony of the second Arab-Euro Public Administration Dialogue (Euro Mina) which was organized in Granada, Spain, Dr. Bin Shams lauded the pioneering role undertaken by MINAPAR network in the domain of public administration and its leadership of a series of international east-west dialogues. The role comes as an outcome of a more comprehensive role undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain at national and international levels with a view to taking advantage of the most recent trends and best administration practices. He reasserted the fact organization of the second Euro Mina conference serves as evidence of the success of the international networking with the various partners around the world.
Dr. Bin Shams stated that MINAPAR network was first launched five years ago from the Kingdom of Bahrain as an ambitious enterprise at the global level to benefit from international expertise, intertwining of ideas and discussion of inputs that are much more important than before in a world that is growing more and more dynamic in the area of public administration which is faced with continuous and nonstop challenges. Over the past two years, the network expanded and a strategic agreement was signed with the European Public Administration Group in order to revive the Euro Mina dialogue every two years and, as a result, the second conference was organized following the success of the first Euro Mina in Amman in 2016.
The city of Granada, Spain, is hosting the events of the second Euro Arab dialogue in public Administration (Euro Mena) in order to discuss the most recent trends and best administrative practices and methods in the world as a joint and collaborative effort between the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), the Euro-Arab Higher Education Institution, Faculty of Political Science at the University of Granada, and the University of Aix Marseille, the Public Administration and Governance Institute (EGPA) of France.
